Our zucchini is grown organically in the fields at CFR Farms in Beaverton, Ontario, without synthetic pesticides — one of more than 30 varieties of fruits, vegetables, and herbs we grow on our self-sustainable, solar-powered farm just outside the GTA. We harvest our zucchini at peak freshness, which gives it a firmer texture and cleaner flavor than zucchini that’s traveled long distances before reaching a grocery shelf. Growing it organically also means we’re building healthier soil season after season, avoiding the synthetic fertilizers and chemical pest control that conventional farms depend on. Because our operation runs on clean solar power and keeps overhead low through self-sufficient infrastructure, we’re able to offer organic produce like this at prices that are genuinely fair, not inflated just because it carries an organic label. Zucchini will be available by the pound through our online store for home delivery, at our on-farm retail outlet, or wholesale to hotels, restaurants, and grocery stores across the GTA. We’ve also built walk-in cold storage on-site to help preserve freshness and extend availability a bit further into the season. Any surplus that doesn’t sell gets donated weekly to our local food bank and the Salvation Army kitchen, so a good growing season benefits the wider community as well.
